Are you curious why we provide free veterinary consultations? It’s because we believe it’s the right thing to do. Animal Trust Vets is a community interest company founded by Veterinary Surgeon Owen Monie, our founder and CEO, who noticed that an increasing number of pet owners were finding pet healthcare treatments unaffordable, and that insurance did not always cover the costs of referral care. More recently, this issue has become more widespread, and Animal Trust now provides affordable vet care access to over 100,000 animals each year.

Charging for consultations can sometimes make pet owners reluctant to seek professional advice due to concerns about the cost; many struggle with the expenses of essential follow-up checks or treatments, which can potentially threaten their pets’ health. Our priority is to improve access to quality, affordable vet services, with free pet checkups for peace of mind.

Free vet consults are just one of the ways Animal Trust provides pet owner support. As an independently owned network of twelve practices, including three 24/7 Accident and Emergency hospitals in Bolton, Ellesmere Port and Shrewsbury, along with new locations opening in 2025 and beyond, Animal Trust Vets champions affordable pet healthcare for pet owners. In addition to our General Practice care, we provide referral-level treatment and surgery with in-patient round-the-clock care at our 24/7 hospitals.

Once you and your pet have had your free veterinary consultation, the vet will outline all the treatment options for you to consider. We hope you’ll find the prices reasonable. You won't pay a penny if no treatment or tests are required. We constantly strive to keep our treatment costs affordable while maintaining the quality of your pet’s treatment.
