Roles Overview
As we move forward with our plans to transform the Barnsley clinic into a 24/7 hospital, we are seeking an experienced veterinary surgeon to join our A+E service during the night. As a night ECC vet you will contribute significantly to our mission of providing accessible and affordable veterinary care. This role is vital for managing the overnight care of both surgical and medical inpatients, as well as new admissions.
Key Responsibilities
Provide high-quality emergency and critical care to a diverse caseload, including new admissions and ongoing inpatient care. Perform emergency procedures and surgery. Work closely with our RVN to ensure seamless patient and client service. Ensure clear communication with day team staff for consistent patient care. Engage in continuous learning and application of the latest veterinary practices to enhance service delivery.
Skills and Qualifications
Qualified Veterinary Surgeon with a strong background in Emergency and Critical Care (ECC). Proven ability to handle a fast-paced and varied caseload with competence and empathy. Excellent communication skills, capable of building trust and understanding with pet owners and colleagues. Commitment to our social mission of reducing the financial barriers to veterinary care. A collaborative spirit, eager to contribute to a team that values each member’s input.
