Mass removal surgery successful for Dolly the Spaniel

This is Dolly, an 8-year-old Cocker Spaniel. Dolly developed a slow-growing lump on her jaw, inside her mouth. After several assessments at other practices, Dolly was referred to Dylan at Animal Trust Ellesmere Port.
As this type of lump can grow aggressively into surrounding tissues, Dylan performed a complex surgery, removing part of the jaw (a partial maxillectomy) to ensure it was completely removed. The tissue was then sent to a lab to confirm everything was successfully removed.
We're happy to say that the lab report confirmed the mass was completely removed and unlikely to return in the future. Dolly’s wound has healed beautifully, and she’s now been signed off from her surgery.
