Lovely Nell was referred from our Rhyl practice to our Pet A&E hospital for treatment to remove fluid that was affecting her breathing.

Nell treated in Pet A&E Ellesmere Port hospital

Nell is a four-year-old English Springer Spaniel. Nell was brought to Animal Trust Wrexham after her owner noticed changes in her breathing. After a thorough check-up, Nell was transferred to our Pet A&E Hospital in Ellesmere Port for further tests. X-rays and ultrasound scans revealed a life-threatening buildup of fluid around her lungs.

Our dedicated team immediately placed chest drains to remove the fluid every few hours. After a week of round-the-clock care, Nell was stable enough to leave the hospital and continue her recovery at home.

Thanks to our 24/7 on-site vets and nurses, Nell received continuous care without the stress of being transferred to a separate site every evening. We're so happy that Nell is on the mend and look forward to her full recovery!
