Mysti the kitten's came in for a fracture repair on her leg

Mysti is a a four-month-old kitten. Mysti was referred to residency trained surgeon Dylan at our 24/7 Pet A&E Hospital Ellesmere Port after slipping off the stairs at home. X-rays from the Animal Trust Failsworth revealed a nasty break in her right tibia (shin bone).
With the skilled help of Registered Vet Nurse Natalie, Dylan repaired the fracture using a tiny metal plate and screws. Mysti was discharged the next day, and follow-up x-rays four weeks later showed the fracture had already healed. Compare the images to see the immediate post-op X-ray and the bone growth after four weeks.
Mysti has been given the all-clear to return to full activity over the next few weeks. We're thrilled with her progress!
