Animal Trust is delighted to strengthen its Yorkshire referral surgery team with the appointment of Roberto Bergamaschi DVM(Hon) MSc CertAVP(GSAS) GPADVCert(SAOS) PGCertVPS MRCVS
(RCVS Recognised Advanced Practitioner in Small Animal Surgery)
Roberto graduated from the University of Pisa (Italy) with honours in 1998. After a short period in General Practice in Rome he became Clinical Director and Head Surgeon in an independent hospital in Poggibonsi (Siena), and at the Teaching Hospital of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of the University of Pisa in Emergency Surgery and Traumatology. In 2016 Roberto moved to the UK. Here he has worked in several Referral Hospitals as an orthopaedic and neurology surgeon. He has a masters degree in anaesthesia and pain therapy, as well as post graduate certificates in small animal surgery and orthopaedics. He is also working towards the European Certificate in Small Animal Neurology & Neurosurgery.
