Milo's heartwarming recovery after emergency eye surgery at Animal Trust Pet A&E Hospital
Heartwarming Pet Recovery
This week, we had the pleasure of helping a little dog in need. His owner, who had been with another vet practice, reached out to us after her pup underwent surgery to remove an ulcerated eye and then became very unwell. Concerned for her dog and facing challenges with readmission at the previous vet, she turned to Animal Trust for support.
The pair arrived at our Ellesmere Port A&E Hospital, where senior vet, Mary, took immediate action. Recognising how poorly the dog was, she identified Milo was seriously unwell and admitted him right away. After treatment to stabilise him, our skilled surgeon, Panos, carefully reopened the stitches and discovered an infection at the site. The area was thoroughly cleaned, restitched, and antibiotics were given performed an emergency surgery to reconstruct where the eye had been and remove the infected tissues. ,Milo was then placed under the care of a team of with our dedicated ward vets and nurses, keeping a close watch on who nursed him throughout his recovery.
We're thrilled to share that Milo fully recovered and is now back to his cheerful, waggy self! We were happy to support 're equally excited to welcome Heather and her beloved dog in her time of need and welcome her into the Animal Trust pet ownercommunity.
We are all delighted with Milo's recovery, no one more so than Heather, was so pleased with her dog's care that she left us a who kindly expressed her gratitude to the team with this lovely review., and we couldn’t wait to share this heartwarming success story with you all!
‘I have nothing but praise for the Animal Trust, Ellesmere Port. My dog needed urgent care and from the moment we walked through the door, the care he received has been second to none. We thought we were going to lose our little boy, but thanks to the fast-acting treatment and care from all the vets, my little boy came home today, well on the road to recovery. Thank you, everyone at Animal Trust and Jacqui for the personal touch…forever grateful xx”
